The opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join the design team within a growing, employee-owned digital agency.
This is a specialist UX/UI role with a strong focus on web, rather than a general digital or graphic design position. The role is weighted approximately 60% towards UX and 40% UI, combining research-led UX thinking with polished interface design to create user-centred digital experiences across a varied portfolio of websites.
You’ll take ownership of UX/UI across significant client projects, working from discovery, research and early-stage definition through to customer journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity interface design, developer handover and quality assurance.
Alongside hands-on project delivery, you’ll have scope to influence UX processes, introduce new ideas and best practices, support other designers and help shape how the agency approaches UX/UI as the capability continues to grow.
You’ll join a collaborative, values-driven environment with a strong emphasis on quality, ownership and continued development.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll take ownership across a variety of client website projects and ongoing retainers, collaborating closely with designers, developers, project managers and client teams.
Key responsibilities include:
What we’re looking for
About you
You’re an experienced UX/UI Designer who enjoys understanding complex user and business problems before defining the solution.
You’re particularly strong on UX and comfortable leading work from discovery and research through to customer journeys, information architecture, wireframes and prototypes, while retaining the UI craft needed to turn that thinking into polished, engaging digital experiences.
You enjoy the variety of agency work and the opportunity to solve different problems across different clients and types of websites. You’re confident taking ownership, working directly with clients and collaborating closely with developers and other designers.
You’ll also enjoy having the opportunity to influence beyond your own projects, bringing ideas and experience into the team, improving processes, sharing knowledge and helping shape UX/UI best practice as the agency’s website capability continues to grow.
