Qualifications

• Solid experience as a UX Designer (not UI).
• Strong agency or consultancy experience - essential.
• Proven experience across retail, e-commerce or complex transactional experiences.
• Genuine ownership of projects or significant workstreams from discovery through to delivery.
• Strong end-to-end UX skills across research, journey mapping, usability testing, ideation, wireframing and prototyping.
• Confident presenting to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong product thinking and commercial awareness.
• Comfortable working closely with UI designers, developers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Confident with tools such as Figma and Miro.
• Collaborative, low-ego and able to work at pace across changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own full UX lifecycle from research through delivery for complex client accounts.
• Focus on a large e-commerce client in the first six months.
• Identify opportunities and balance customer needs with commercial objectives.
• Collaborate with UI designers, developers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Present work confidently to clients and senior stakeholders.

I’m working with an established and independent experience design agency that partners with some of the UK’s best-known brands to create customer experiences that deliver genuine commercial impact.

They’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join their Experience Design team - someone who is confident owning projects end-to-end, comfortable working directly with clients, and passionate about solving complex customer problems.

** Recent agency and ecommerce/retail experience is essential for this one. **

THE ROLE

You’ll work across the full UX lifecycle, from research and insight through to design, prototyping and delivery.

The first six months will focus heavily on a large, complex e-commerce client account, so experience within retail/e-commerce is particularly important.

You’ll be expected to go beyond simply delivering a brief - identifying opportunities, challenging thinking and balancing customer needs with commercial objectives.

THE CANDIDATE
