Job summary

Red Badger is seeking an experienced UX Designer for a six-month discovery project with a major UK bank. You will join a cross-functional team to explore the bank's CMS platform, run workshops, and shape recommendations to upgrade capabilities and redesign the platform.

You’ll lead design thinking and user-centred research, collaborate with product and engineering, and mentor stakeholders through workshops and reviews.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Human Centred Design and Design Thinking.
  • Experience working closely with engineers, QA & delivery disciplines.
  • Experience working with clients presenting design concepts and running workshops.
  • Experience in leading UX activities on a project.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard tools such as Sketch/Figma, plus aptitude to learn and introduce new tools and methodologies.
  • Experience designing mobile-first responsive sites & mobile native apps.
  • Experience with user testing at various levels of fidelity from guerilla to lab testing.
  • An ability to work closely with a team and the client as a sole UX Designer.

Job description

  • Client is a household name UK bank
  • 6 month initial contract - possibility to extend
  • Target start date 28 September
  • Discovery project looking at the entire bank's CMS platform, and making recommendations on upgrading / improving capability and redesigning the platform.
  • Joining a cross-functional team of 6 (engineering, delivery lead, product)
  • Immediate interviews
  • Ltd company outside IR35 or Umbrella contract.
  • £Competitive day rate
  • 2 days / week in person working (Old Street OR Canary Wharf)

You are comfortable working closely with Product and Technology teams to build the thing right too.
