Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a growing UK design team in London. You will oversee multi-discipline design coordination across rail projects, ensuring compliance, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on management of engineers, with a focus on quality, value engineering, and effective communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-discipline design teams on civil/rail projects.
• Proven ability to manage design inputs, reporting and cost estimating.
• Experience in mentoring engineers and coordinating stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage engineering management plans for allocated projects.
• Ensure compliance with CDM and relevant regulations across design and construction.
• Lead reviews, risk assessments and design integration activities.
• Coordinate with clients, asset owners and subcontractor designers.
• Oversee schedules, deliverables and quality across projects.
• Support staff development and professional growth.
