Job summary

SYSTRA, a global leader in transport infrastructure, seeks a Design Manager to lead civil design delivery in the UK. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage design budgets and schedules, and ensure adherence to CDM regulations while aligning with client requirements and project goals.

The role focuses on high-speed rail infrastructure with opportunities to support other product lines. You will work with stakeholders across UK and overseas teams to deliver high-quality design outputs.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering design on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of CDM regulations.
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management for civil packages and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate between design and construction teams and external partners.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and chair design meetings.
• Support tender preparation and procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System and CDM regulations.
