Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils is seeking an experienced finance professional to join its Financial Services team as Treasury & Capital Senior Finance Officer. The role combines capital accounting with day-to-day treasury management responsibilities.

You will prepare and monitor the capital budgets and five-year capital programme, support the closure of the capital accounts, and provide financial advice across the Council.

Competenze

• AAT Level 4 qualified or part-qualified as an accountant.
• Experience in finance with knowledge of budget prep, monitoring and year-end accounts.
• Comfortable working independently, prioritising, and explaining financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyse financial information accurately.

Mansioni

• Prepare and monitor the Council’s capital budgets and five-year capital programme.
• Support the closure of the capital accounts and contribute to the Statement of Accounts.
• Complete capital-related government returns and support VAT requirements.
