Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Council in Pershore is seeking a Technical Finance Officer to support capital budgets and year-end close, reporting to the Principal Accountant. The role requires a proactive finance professional with knowledge of capital budgets, VAT and government returns, and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience in capital budgets and closure of accounts.
• Experience in preparing and managing budgets and closing accounts in a busy organisation (local government desirable).
• Ability to work independently and provide advice to officers while also collaborating with the team.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.
