Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Accountant (Treasury Management) to lead treasury activities within the Corporate Finance Team in Hereford. The role focuses on cashflow management, forecasting and reporting, with exposure to broader finance tasks across the council.

The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified, with public sector experience and knowledge of the Local Authority Accounting Code of Practice, Prudential Code and Treasury Code.

Qualifications

• CCAB qualified.
• Experience in a public sector finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Treasury Management tasks including cashflow forecasting and reporting.
• Manage treasury strategies and practices and provide external reporting support.
• Prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines within the Corporate Finance Team.
