Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Principal Transport Planner to lead transport planning assignments from inception to delivery on high-profile UK development projects. Based in Fleet, the role offers a salary up to £60,000 plus benefits and clear progression to senior leadership.

You will manage projects, budgets and client relationships, mentor junior staff, and provide strategic traffic advice to developers and planning authorities, guiding teams through modelling work.

Qualificações

• Significant experience as a transport planner within consultancy, local authority, or development sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport planning policy and guidance (TfL, DfT, Manual for Streets, NPPF, etc.).
• Proficiency in traffic modelling software such as ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, VISSIM or similar.
• Excellent project management, leadership, and client management skills.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Professional membership (MCIHT, CEng, or similar) desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Leading the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.
• Providing expert advice on traffic modelling, junction design, and highway capacity assessments.
• Managing projects, budgets, and client relationships.
• Mentoring and developing junior staff and graduates.
• Producing high-quality reports, technical drawings, and planning submissions.
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
