Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Principal/Associate Transport Planner in Bristol to lead development planning projects from feasibility to planning approval. You will work with developers, architects, planners and councils to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will mentor junior staff, foster client relationships and play a key role in winning new work as the Bristol office grows. This is a senior, influential position in a respected consultancy.

Qualifications

• Significant consultancy experience within development planning transport planning.
• Strong technical knowledge of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and planning policy.
• Excellent working knowledge of Junctions 10 (ARCADY/PICADY), TRICS and TEMPro.
• Proven experience leading projects, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality technical work.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior transport planners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of development planning projects from feasibility through planning approval.
• Mentor junior team members and strengthen client relationships.
• Lead preparation and technical review of TA/TS/Travel Plans/Access Appraisals.
• Manage junction capacity assessments and forecasting.
• Act as primary contact for clients, authorities and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical leadership, QA and business development support.
