Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring an efficient and reliable service.
• Lead, motivate and manage drivers and transport staff.
• Plan and coordinate vehicle and driver schedules to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and company policies.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle, driver and operational compliance.
• Monitor transport performance, costs and KPIs.
• Manage driver hours, working time and tachograph compliance.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Investigate incidents and operational issues as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and costs.
• Ensure records and systems are accurately maintained.
• Support development and implementation of transport policies and procedures.
• Provide strong leadership during high demand periods.
