Job summary

Kc Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to run the day-to-day operations at a busy site in the United Kingdom. You will manage drivers, oversee orders and deliveries, troubleshoot issues and ensure pallets and goods are loaded safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience managing teams of drivers and transport staff.
• Knowledge of operator licence obligations and compliance.
• Experience in pallet transportation and 3PL/warehousing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee day-to-day transport operations and staff.
• Schedule routes to maximise fleet utilisation and on-time delivery.
• Ensure driver hours, tachograph rules and Working Time Directive compliance.
• Maintain vehicles and inspections per O-license undertakings.
• Lead, coach and support drivers and transport office staff.
• Monitor KPIs: OTIF, cost per mile, fuel usage.
• Handle incidents and customer issues with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, warehouse and senior management.
• Run a safe and compliant operation.
