Job summary

Bis Henderson Recruitment is seeking a Transport Manager to lead a busy 3PL transport operation in Magor, UK. The role manages a fleet of 38–40 Class 1 vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance and cost-efficient service while driving performance and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will hold a CPC, be confident with transport systems and data, and translate operational insight into effective decisions within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Transport Manager or in a similar leadership role within logistics/3PL.
• CPC qualification is essential.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, fleet compliance, driver hours and best practice.
• Proficient in interpreting data and presenting insights from transport systems.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day transport operation, ensuring compliance, service levels and efficiency.
• Lead and coach drivers and transport staff to maintain safety and performance.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance planning, defect reporting, incidents and fleet security.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse data and report trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to reduce repeats.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to meet targets.
