Job summary

Musgrave Group Plc is seeking a Transport Line Manager to oversee on-site transport operations in Belfast, directing the Daily transport activities and leading the transport team to deliver a high‑quality service to stores.

The role requires experience in national logistics, team leadership, and compliance with transport legislation. A CPC qualification and strong IT skills are essential, with a focus on H&S and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent passes in Mathematics and English.
• Min of 3 years+ experience in a national logistics business with multiple weekly deliveries and transport scheduling experience.
• Min of 1 years+ experience in managing a large team in a fast-moving customer orientated transport operation.
• Significant experience of Transport operations at a management level is required.
• Transport Managers CPC National & International qualified and up to date.
• Thorough knowledge of distribution operations including H&S and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and continually develop the Transport team by working in a harmonious atmosphere.
• Lead the team by example in accordance with company procedures.
• Organise, plan, and manage the day to day transport operation.
• Ensure company compliance is maintained with transport legislation and procedures (tachograph, Digi card, fleet management, GDP).
• Ensure the safety, health and welfare at work of employees.
• Liaise with stakeholders to manage a flexible team-based approach.
• Prepare and implement strategic development plan for the transport function with Senior Management.
