Qualifications

• We’re looking for a confident and organised transport professional with strong people-management skills.
• Experience in transport, logistics, FMCG, wholesale or distribution.
• Experience managing or supervising drivers.
• Good knowledge of transport compliance and operational procedures.
• Strong communication, coaching and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the transport team, coordinating with drivers, planners, warehouse colleagues and management to deliver excellent service.
• Manage daily transport operations and resolve issues quickly.
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, productivity and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, health and safety and company procedures.
• Support route planning and efficient delivery operations.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Monitor transport KPIs and drive improvements.
• Work closely with other departments to maintain a smooth operation.
