Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer in Trowbridge to lead highway infrastructure improvements and provide technical oversight across multi‑disciplinary teams. The role focuses on active travel and urban realm schemes, ensuring design compliance and high‑quality construction documentation.

You will also attend sites during construction, resolve queries, and support contractor payments while mentoring junior staff and contributing to bids and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Professional membership (IEng/CEng) or progressing towards it.
• Extensive experience with highway improvement projects and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of highway infrastructure improvement projects with multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Act as technical lead for active travel and urban realm schemes and shape standards.
• Attend site to resolve technical queries and support contractor payments.
• Build strong relationships with Clients and the maintenance contractor to enable delivery.
