Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking an experienced professional to lead the delivery of active travel projects across Scotland and Northern Ireland, based in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will coordinate reports, drawings, specifications and cost estimates, and provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.

You will mentor staff, review outputs, liaise with clients, manage risks and opportunities, and contribute to business development through bid activity.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
• Experience designing and delivering active travel infrastructure.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and civil design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of active travel projects and work packages.
• Coordinate the production of reports, drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians.
• Mentor and coach team members; contribute to staff development.
• Review and check technical outputs prepared by others.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders; explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
