Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Associate Director in Transaction Advisory Services to lead diverse advisory projects, primarily around financial due diligence and strategic advisory. You will build networks to originate new TAS work and own senior client relationships at board level, managing multiple accounts with strong commercial judgment.

You will provide technical leadership on transactions, oversee end-to-end report production, and coach managers while setting fees and budgets to ensure

Qualifications

• Professional qualification required: ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA.
• Experience in Transaction Advisory, ideally in financial services or professional services.
• Strong client-facing experience and report writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and convert your own network to originate TAS work, leading proposals and closing sales with minimal partner input.
• Own senior client relationships at board level, managing several accounts and handling new work enquiries.
• Assess and manage risk across complex transactions, bringing in specialists as needed.
• Provide technical leadership on transactions and mentor junior team members.
• Oversee the report production process end-to-end, ensuring accuracy with market context.
• Set fee estimates and manage assignment budgets to deliver work profitably.
• Lead the presentation of findings and recommendations to clients.
• Coach and develop managers within the team, allocating resources effectively.
