Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Associate Director within Transaction Advisory Services to lead complex deals and manage senior client relationships. You will drive business development, assess risk, and provide technical leadership across engagements in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The role offers responsibility for end-to-end TAS deliverables, development of junior staff, and the opportunity to influence strategic client outcomes within a flexible working framework.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification required (ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA/CIPFA).
• Experience in Transaction Advisory ideally in financial services or professional services.

Responsibilities

• Build and convert your network of external contacts to originate new TAS work.
• Own senior client relationships at board level and manage multiple accounts.
• Assess and manage risk across complex transactions and oversee engagement letters.
• Provide technical leadership on transactions and mentor junior staff.
• Oversee the report production process end-to-end and ensure market context is reflected.
• Set fee estimates and manage budgets to deliver profitable work.
• Lead the presentation of findings and recommendations to clients.
• Coach and develop managers and allocate resources across live assignments.
