Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is recruiting for a Senior Sales Advisor for the Henley-on-Thames branch. This full-time role runs Monday-Friday 7:30–17:00 and every other Saturday 08:00–12:00.

You will build strong relationships with customers, manage accounts, and identify opportunities to grow sales at a brand-new site in Henley. You’ll work to upsell and cross-sell, prepare quotes, expand product knowledge, and collaborate with the wider sales team and suppliers to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
• Experience within building materials, merchanting or DIY desirable.
• Curious, commercially minded with ability to identify opportunities to grow sales.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing customer accounts.
• Confident with outbound sales, cross-selling and following up opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop strong relationships with new and existing customers, face-to-face and over the phone.
• Manage existing customer accounts, identify opportunities to grow sales and increase spend.
• Serve customers from the trade counter, asking the right questions to understand needs and provide solutions.
• Make outbound calls to generate new business from existing, lapsed and prospective customers.
• Maximise every customer interaction through upselling and cross-selling.
