Job summary

Arup’s planning team in the UK is seeking a Senior Planner to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure planning projects from our Yorkshire base. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, advise clients on planning strategies and manage the end-to-end delivery of planning applications and DCOs, aligning with project objectives and timelines.

You will work across water, energy and transport schemes, engaging stakeholders and ensuring performance against regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or masters in town planning or similar equivalent degree.
• Chartered membership of RTPI or equivalent professional body.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for planning consent.
• Experience with Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and TCPA consents.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent for infrastructure projects, including through DCOs and planning applications.
• Prepare planning applications, draft reports and advise clients.
• Lead day-to-day delivery of projects and manage client/stakeholder engagement.
