Job summary

WSP is recruiting a Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning Team in the UK. You will lead town planning and consenting inputs on major nationally significant projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to secure consents under the Planning Acts and related regimes.

You will provide technical advice to clients, manage consenting requirements, negotiate with statutory bodies, and support project delivery within a consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
• Member of (or eligible for) the RTPI.

Responsibilities

• Support and take responsibility for aspects of the town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical advice to clients and support managing their consenting requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under relevant Acts.
• Support negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Engage with cross-disciplinary teams and supervise others in project delivery.
• Understand project roles and contribute to team achievement and knowledge.
• Develop knowledge and skills to build team capabilities.
