Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning Team. The role focuses on town planning and consenting inputs for major and nationally significant infrastructure projects, leveraging experience in securing approvals under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Planning Act 2008, and related regimes.

• Degree-level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
• Experience in securing consents for major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate town planning/consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Provide technical advice to clients and manage consenting requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under Town and Country Planning Acts, Planning Act 2008, or related regimes.
• Negotiate with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate across disciplines and supervise project delivery.
