Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Consultant to join our town planning and consenting team on major national infrastructure projects. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent under relevant acts and regimes across the UK.

We value proactive knowledge development, client liaison, and effective negotiations with statutory bodies. RTPI membership or eligibility is preferred, and a degree in town planning is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning or equivalent required.
• RTPI membership or eligibility preferred.
• Experience leading town planning/consenting inputs on infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support and take responsibility for town planning/consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under Town and Country Planning Acts and related regimes.
• Negotiate with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and build internal knowledge base.
