Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning Team in the UK. You will support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects, leading multidisciplinary teams to secure consent under relevant acts.

The role requires demonstrable experience in securing consents and providing technical oversight, with RTPI eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Lead preparation of Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects across the UK.
• Provide sound technical advice to clients and manage their consenting requirements.
• Lead and engage with multidisciplinary teams to deliver consent and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of planning applications under Town & Country Planning Act for UK infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc.).
• Provide technical guidance to clients and manage expectations.
• Liaise with statutory bodies and stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Mentor and oversee teams across disciplines and build knowledge base.
• Support business development and proposals in line with growth strategy.
