Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Town Planner to work on infrastructure planning projects across the UK, with a focus on DCOs and renewables. You will help lead major applications and shape consent strategies for energy, transport and water projects.

The role supports hybrid working and can be based from offices in Birmingham, Basingstoke, Bristol, Cardiff, Chesterfield, London, Manchester and St Albans. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, liaise with stakeholders, and contribute to client

• Significant experience leading planning applications for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong client and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in the delivery of major development applications.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across various project types.
• Submit and manage planning applications, including liaising with local planning authorities and stakeholders.
• Provide planning advice on consent requirements and permitted development rights.
• Produce planning feasibility reports and consent strategies.
• Write Planning Statements and Design and Access Statements for development applications.
