Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an experienced Lead Test Systems Engineer to drive test strategy and capability for defence platforms, including through-life support across UK and international sites.

The role involves overseeing test equipment transfer from production to support, in line with engineering lifecycles and Part 145 compliance, with close collaboration across CS3 and partner lines of business.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering test solutions for highly complex products, preferably in defence electronics.
• Knowledge of RF, Optical or Laser test technologies is desirable.
• In-service knowledge of multi-contractual support environment.
• Experience across engineering lifecycles with emphasis on test engineering and governance.
• Ability to understand the bigger picture and solve complex problems.
• Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at varying seniorities.

Responsibilities

• Support and contribute to delivery of CS3 test engineering strategies and priorities.
• Provide technical expertise to create test solutions and roadmaps adding value to customers and CS3.
• Work with stakeholders to implement test solutions that reduce platform impact while ensuring safety and compliance.
• Interpret product roadmaps with CS3 Programme Leads and Technology Leaders to develop investment programs for test capability.
• Maintain positive relationships with test delivery leads and CS3 programme/engineering leads.
• Collate performance metrics and reports, highlighting opportunities and risks for test equipment.
