Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Lead Systems Test Engineer to define and deliver technical test strategies for national and international platforms. You will oversee test equipment at regional diagnostic and repair centres, ensuring compliance with Part 145 and lifecycle processes.

The role reports to the Head of Test Engineering CS3 and requires collaboration across CS3 and other lines of business to align project and business objectives while driving safe and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering test solutions for highly complex products, preferably in defence electronics.
• Knowledge of RF, Optical or Laser test technology is desirable.
• In-service knowledge of multi-contractual support environments.
• Proven expertise in test capability across product lifecycle and governance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the test equipment that customers depend on, assessing opportunities and mitigations.
• Manage transfer of test equipment from production into support following engineering lifecycles.
• Collaborate with CS3 Programme Leads and Technology Leaders to develop investment and improvement programmes for test capability.
• Produce performance metrics and reports highlighting opportunities and risks for test equipment.
• Support CS3 bid activity for ML1, ML2 and ML3 test capability and support solutions.
• Represent CS3 test engineering at sector reviews and project performance reviews.
