Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Basildon is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead the Test Engineering team within the ISP sector, supporting Comms and Force Protection, Mission Systems and Sensors. This permanent role focuses on delivering test capability and coordinating a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

You will partner with the Technical Lead and Designers to align test strategy with the Product Maturity & Capability Roadmap, ensuring reliable, well-documented solutions that meet user needs

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Test Solutions in a high-tech environment and end-to-end test strategy.
• Excellent planning, communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver test capability.
• Define and manage test strategies, plans and delivered solutions.
• Engage with Design Authorities, Systems Design Authorities and stakeholders to manage progress and risks.
• Ensure designs meet end-user requirements, are reliable and well-documented.
• Support suppliers and make build/buy decisions as needed.
