Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Lead Test Solutions Engineer to drive the design and delivery of complex Test Solutions for defence electronics. You will lead supplier engagements, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure rigorous design reviews throughout the product lifecycle.

Travel within the UK and Europe may be required. Security clearance is part of the pre-employment process, with BPSS/NSV considerations. The role is permanent with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design experience of complex Test Solutions across the full life cycle.
• Knowledge of electronic technologies from DC to light and of Systems/Software engineering lifecycle.
• Experience working with external suppliers and outsourcing complex work packages.
• Ability to lead subcontracting of test solutions and manage supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create and capture requirements for Test Equipment Requirement Specifications (TERS).
• Lead subcontracting of complex test solutions to the supply chain.
• Manage relationships between Leonardo UK and 3rd party suppliers.
• Ensure implementation of Life-cycle design reviews and project governance.
• Manage engineering quality, schedule and budget for Test Solutions.
• Support Make/Buy decisions and risk mitigation for test solutions.
