Job summary

Raytheon UK in Scotland is seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer to design, manufacture, verify and support test equipment for control actuation, guidance electronics and GPS systems across land, sea, air and space.

You will develop hardware at board to system level, lead cross-disciplinary testing, and grow with a team expected to expand. A £7.5k welcome bonus is offered along with strong career progression.

Qualifications

• Design of product Test Development Hardware (board, sub-system, system level).
• Wiring schedules and system interface design.
• Appreciation of NI LabVIEW/TestStand and related tools.
• Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting and system integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems.
• Lead hardware/software integration and troubleshooting.
• Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions.
• Lead design reviews and documentation to high standards.
• Mentor and technically lead junior engineers.
