Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Test Engineering Lead to design, develop and validate test equipment for board, sub-system and system levels at our Glenrothes site. You will lead hardware and software test development and work with both engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, documentation, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, offering a competitive salary, joining bonus, relocation support, and a 37-hour week with generous holiday provisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related subject (2:1+).
• Test software design experience.
• Excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design.
• Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Able to support/debug system integration.
• Good knowledge of MS Office products.
• Good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design of functional test equipment.
• Lead hardware/software test development and reviews.
• Document design specifications and participate in design reviews.
• Develop robust test hardware, test software and procedures.
• Support manufacturing with product queries & resolve technical issues.
• Manage obsolescence and lifecycle of test equipment.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on system designs.
• Monitor progress and report to supervisor and team.
