Job summary

Raytheon UK, partnered with hackajob, seeks a Senior Test Development Engineer to design, verify and sustain test equipment for control actuation systems and GPS-related tech across UK sites in Glenrothes, Livingston, or Harlow.

You’ll lead hardware/software integration, guide junior engineers, and contribute to lifecycle support with a focus on reliability and test architecture knowledge. A Welcome Bonus and relocation support are available.

Qualifications

• Design of product Test Development Hardware.
• Wiring Schedules.
• System Interface design.
• Appreciation of NI LabVIEW/TestStand.
• Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Able to support/debug system integration.
• Must be eligible Security Clearance to BPSS.
• Significant test development experience in industry.
• Understanding of test architectures PXI/LXI.
• Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation.
• Software detailed knowledge of NI LabVIEW, CVI & TestStand, C#.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems.
• Lead and support hardware/software integration and troubleshooting.
• Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop robust, scalable test solutions.
• Lead design reviews and documentation to the highest standards.
• Act as a mentor and technical leader for junior engineers.
