Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Senior Test Development Engineer in Glenrothes and Livingston, Scotland, onsite. You will design, verify, and support test equipment for electronic systems across hardware and software interfaces, enabling robust, scalable solutions and leading design reviews.

You will mentor junior engineers, write technical documentation, and ensure lifecycle support and obsolescence management, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on control actuation and guidance

Raytheon UK have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Test Development Engineer to join our team in our Glenrothes(Scotland) and Livingston (Scotland)

Our Senior Test Development Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity for your career growth; firstly, your technical knowledge will continue to develop due to our focus on R&D and secondly, you will have opportunities to step up in seniority as we expect this team to have strong growth in the near future. As Senior Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level. You'll work on technologies that support Control Actuation Systems, Guidance Electronics, and cutting-edge GPS Anti-Jamming systems across land, sea, air and space.

Required Experience

• Appreciation of NI LabView/Teststand
• Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Able to support/debug system integration
• Must be eligible Security Clearance to a minimum of BPSS

Desirable Experience

• Significant test development experience in industry.
• Understanding of common test architectures PXI/LXI
• Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation
• Software detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, CVI & TestStand, C#
