Kier Group’s Kier Design team seeks a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to lead innovative temporary works design across multiple sites. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring others and shaping technical standards across the organisation, contributing to safe, buildable solutions on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience in temporary works design and checking across materials.
• Ability to lead design solutions and assess third-party designs.
• Capable of managing project workloads and ensuring policy compliance.
• Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining professional membership.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works design and checking with integration to permanent works where applicable.
• Provide tender and bid support with outline schemes, feasibility studies and value engineering.
• Manage technical aspects of projects, ensuring CDM compliance and Kier QM System.
• Build strong relationships with clients and design teams, representing Kier at meetings.
• Mentor and develop Kier Design staff, promoting engineering standards and knowledge transfer.
