Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Principal Temporary Works Engineer to join our multi-location UK team (Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Plymouth). Agile working with up to 1-2 days from home.

You will lead the delivery of complex construction engineering services, oversee temporary works design and management, check designs for buildability and safety, and support tenders and preconstruction planning.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of a broad range of complex construction engineering services, including temporary works design and management, across multiple projects and locations.
• Checking, reviewing and approving design outputs (calculations, drawings, 3D models, reports) for buildability, safety and compliance with CDM/SHE QA processes.
• Supporting tenders, preconstruction planning and providing technical support to resolve construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.
