Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Engineer to join our team across multiple UK locations, including Cambridge. The role involves temporary works design and management with agile working options and a 40-hour week.

You will work on diverse projects and support complex construction and infrastructure schemes. The position requires civil/structural/geotechnical expertise, IEng/CEng progression, and collaboration with preconstruction and construction teams to ensure safety,

Qualifications

• Practical engineering knowledge across civil, structural and geotechnical disciplines.
• IEng or CEng equivalent or working towards Chartered status.
• Strong problem-solving, safety and buildability mindset.

Responsibilities

• Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs (calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports, risk assessments).
• Acting as Project Lead for multiple projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget and stakeholder relations.
• Developing the team and continuous improvement of processes and systems to adapt to challenges.
