Purpose of role

Reporting to the Head of IT, the Senior Technology Support Analyst will provide technical support to all staff at London & Partners, including international offices. Responsibilities include business as usual laptop/user support for 1st and 2nd line issues, expertise in cloud systems including security, automation, licensing, and virtual networks. The role requires a proactive approach to support and user engagement, with occasional out-of-hours support for international users and events.

Key Tasks
  • Collaborate with third-party providers to maintain core systems.
  • Ensure adherence to Cyber Security best practices.
  • Perform daily system monitoring and verification of hardware, server resources, and key processes.
  • Conduct file archival and purging as needed.
  • Manage user accounts and recover from hardware/software failures.
  • Configure and add new services using administrative tools.
  • Support capacity planning with performance reports.
  • Manage virtual machines.
  • Provide support for M365 and Azure resources.
  • Operate security control tools to mitigate risks.
  • Support Windows 11, Windows 365, and Windows Server.
  • Uphold cloud architecture best practices.
  • Assist developers in a DevOps capacity.
  • Deliver IT support per SLAs.
  • Oversee installation of virtual assets and hardware.
  • Administer Microsoft servers and VMs.
  • Maintain support and security run books.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for platform delivery.
  • Assist with project implementation of innovative solutions.
  • Ensure software is up to date and assets are recorded accurately.
  • Provide after-hours support for remote teams.
  • Support work experience students or apprentices.
  • Participate in estate reviews and continuous improvements.
You’ll have/bring

Deep understanding of:

  • First and second line support experience
  • Certifications or experience in:
- Microsoft 365 and related products (SharePoint, MS Entra, Security controls, Power Apps/Automation)
  • Networking (switches, routers, firewalls)
  • Desirable skills include:

    • Mac OS X, Linux (Red Hat/CentOS)
    • XDR systems, PowerShell scripting, Purview

    Competencies: troubleshooting, communication at all levels, customer service, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.
