Team Purpose:

The Power Systems Support Team manages medium-sized customers with complex environments, providing third-level operational and project support for IBM AIX and IBMi systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L3 support for incidents, requests, and changes, ensuring SLA compliance
  • Assist in resolving high-priority incidents to minimize downtime
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain power systems (IBM AIX & IBMi)
  • Follow ITIL/Agile processes for incident and change management
  • Collaborate on automation and process improvements
  • Maintain documentation and support internal and external projects
  • Work across multiple customer environments
  • Participate in support rotas and work overtime when needed

Candidate Requirements:

Expertise in:

  • IBMi, including BRMS, LPAR, HMC, Tape Library, and firmware upgrades
  • Third-party management tools like Robot, Revsoft, Halcyon
  • High availability software such as Mimix and ICluster
  • System administration from versions 7.3 to 7.5
  • CL coding and VIOS/NPIV understanding
  • Global IT infrastructure support experience
  • Technical communication skills
  • Knowledge of ITIL/Agile, Service-Now beneficial
  • Ability to troubleshoot and own incidents
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
