Senior IT Support Analyst – 6 Month FTC

Full Time | Office Based | City of London

Is this the Senior IT Support Analyst role for you?

Crone Corkill is assisting a financial client in hiring a personable 2nd/3rd Line focused Senior IT Support Analyst for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension or permanence. The business is implementing a complex financial platform, requiring additional support for BAU and less complex projects.

Joining during a busy period, you will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and maintaining their Windows infrastructure, VMware estate, and promoting ITSM best practices in collaboration with the IT team.

This role is office-based in the City of London, requiring presence 5 days a week. Relevant financial/banking industry experience is essential for consideration.

Responsibilities:

• Act as an escalation point for 1st Line support, resolving 2nd & 3rd Line issues
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot Windows Server services including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services
• Ensure environment and application availability and performance
• Manage PC Desktop, Laptop, Windows Server configuration, SCCM, MDM, MS Applications, and O365 Support
• Collaborate with teams to ensure proper product installation, configuration, and integration
• Monitor and enforce IT security policies, respond to security alerts and incidents
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting
• Manage user onboarding/offboarding, access rights, and licensing

Required Skills:

• Experience providing 2nd/3rd Line Support in financial/banking sectors
• Relevant industry certifications (desirable)
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, MDM, OS, protocols
• VMware (Horizon preferred)
• Deep understanding of Active Directory, Entra, GPO, DNS, DHCP
• PowerShell scripting skills
• Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices
• Experience with InfoSec policies and incident response
• Software troubleshooting skills
