Job summary

Winsearch is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Representative for Reading HQ and surrounding areas. You will drive growth in ground support and propping solutions, managing major accounts and delivering technical solutions across civil engineering projects.

The role requires proven technical sales experience in construction/infrastructure, ability to interpret drawings, and strong commercial acumen. A UK driving licence and CRM fluency are essential for field-based activities.

Qualifications

• Proven technical sales experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or related sectors is essential.
• Experience developing new business whilst managing key customer relationships is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications is desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience producing quotations, proposals and tenders - essential.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills - essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and secure new business opportunities across ground support and propping solutions.
• Build, maintain and grow strategic key account relationships across the Southern region.
• Identify, track and convert major project opportunities from enquiry through to delivery.
• Act as the primary commercial and technical contact for large and complex projects.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, tender submissions and technical presentations.
• Provide expert advice on temporary works, shoring and propping applications.
• Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Monitor project progress, coordinate stakeholders and proactively resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate opportunity and account data within the CRM system.
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events and site visits throughout the region.
