Job summary

MHI seeks an experienced technical support specialist to assist European distributors and partners. You will handle pre-sales inquiries, evaluate market needs, and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and product development with cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of air conditioning systems for commercial applications, UK/EU regulations, and strong training delivery to promote new products.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years experience in AC or chiller manufacturing preferred.
• Technical experience in commercial air conditioning systems.
• Knowledge of A/C systems, controllers, and BMS.
• Experience with sales support software for AC.
• UK/EU regulations related to AC knowledge.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Customer interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to European distributors
• Respond to pre-sales enquiries and collaborate with the team
• Visit distributors and business partners offices to respond to their requests
• Communicate closely with European distributors to evaluate each market needs
• Visit exhibitions to research new products, market information and regulations / directives
• Participate in seminars/meetings on products and sales support software
• Benchmark competitors’ products / sales support software and make comparison
• Support European product development with MHI design centre and sales team
• Review and improve technical and service manuals for European market
• Support joint development of MHI products/options with European experts
• Lead design directions of project coordinating with partner companies
• Prepare presentations on new products in collaboration with MHI design section
• Introduce and promote new products highlighting key features and benefits
• Provide specific training highlighting advanced features and technical benefits
• Support the marketing department in creating new promotional materials
• Compare competitors' sales support software and collect market needs
• Create and update regularly functional specifications for sales support tools
• Manage software development projects to meet deadline and budget
• Execute certification programmes and regulatory activities

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience of working in A/C or Chiller manufacturer is strongly desired
• Technical experience in air conditioning for commercial applications (at least 10 years)
• Experience and knowledge in A/C systems, controllers, building management system
• Experience and knowledge in sales support software for air conditioners
• Knowledge in UK and EU regulations / directives related to air conditioners
• Advance knowledge in Microsoft (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Multi-tasking and Prioritizing tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Customer interaction skills
