Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to provide technical leadership during Discovery, helping government officials and the wider team understand the existing landscape and assess the impact of proposed changes on back‑office IT systems.

This role requires an autonomous, technically strong architect capable of producing robust, evidence‑based assessments to inform decisions across a multi‑organisation environment, with strong documentation and stakeholder communication

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Technical Architect in UK public sector.
• Ability to produce architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Strong stakeholder communication with policy and programme staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document existing technical architecture and data quality issues.
• Engage with IT teams and back-office providers to map data flows.
• Produce current-state architecture diagrams and integration maps.
• Assess effort, timelines and costs for future-state changes.
• Provide technical assurance across discovery and options analysis.
• Communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
