Job summary

The role focuses on strategic technology contracts, SaaS, and high-value commercial matters, with close collaboration to sales and leadership teams.

You will lead negotiations on complex agreements, manage risk, and oversee data protection, IP and cloud-related issues across multiple markets, while helping to develop templates and playbooks

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements.
• Strong knowledge of IP licensing, data protection, cloud arrangements.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations independently and take clear positions on risk.
• Experience with international transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate complex technology contracts including SaaS, software licenses, professional services, strategic partnerships and enterprise customer contracts.
• Lead commercial negotiations from a legal perspective, managing risk allocation, liability, IP, SLAs, data protection and other provisions.
• Support bids and sales processes, advise on RFPs, commercial structures, pricing and contractual risk.
• Collaborate with senior commercial stakeholders to resolve legal and contractual issues pragmatically.
• Provide concise, commercially focused legal advice in a fast-moving environment.
• Develop and refine contracting processes, templates and playbooks for consistency and efficiency.
• Deliver training and guidance on contractual processes, risk and regulatory considerations.
