Job summary

W&P Partners Legal Recruitment is seeking a commercially focused UK Commercial Counsel to join its global legal team for a fast-growing SaaS business.

You will own a broad range of commercial matters, negotiate complex agreements, and advise senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions. This role emphasizes independent ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and effective risk management in a scaling tech environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or eligible to practise in the UK.
• Minimum five years' relevant commercial experience.
• In-house experience within a technology or SaaS environment preferred.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary lawyer for UK and US commercial matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS, customer, vendor and partnership agreements.
• Lead legal support on strategic commercial deals.
• Provide practical advice on contractual, commercial and compliance risks.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across jurisdictions and time zones.
• Support resolution of commercial disputes through negotiation or mediation.
• Identify and manage legal risk to support growth.
