Job summary

W&P Partners Legal Recruitment is partnering with a leading international SaaS business to appoint a UK Commercial Counsel to join its global Legal team. You will own broad commercial matters, lead strategic negotiations, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across a fast-paced tech environment.

You will handle UK/US commercial matters, negotiate complex SaaS and partner agreements, and provide practical guidance on contractual and compliance risks while supporting growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or eligible to practice in the UK.
• Minimum five years of relevant commercial legal experience.
• Prior in-house experience in tech or SaaS environment.
• Proven track record negotiating complex software and technology agreements.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in fast-growth or start-up tech environment is valuable.
• Comfort with AI and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary lawyer for UK and US commercial matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS, customer, vendor and partnership agreements.
• Lead legal support on strategic commercial deals.
• Advise on contractual, commercial and compliance risks.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across jurisdictions and time zones.
• Support resolution of commercial disputes through negotiation or mediation.
• Identify and manage legal risk while supporting growth.
