Janus Henderson Investors seeks a Senior Commercial Counsel (Technology) in London to support technology contracting, SaaS, cloud and data processing matters. You will lead complex negotiations, craft playbooks and templates, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment.

You will collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Information Security, Data Privacy and Compliance to deliver pragmatic, risk-based legal advice and scalable contracting solutions while

Qualifications

• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements in technology, outsourcing and data processing.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy, regulatory requirements (GDPR/UK GDPR) and contracting risk.
• Ability to develop playbooks, templates and scalable processes for legal review.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including software, SaaS, cloud and data processing.
• Lead negotiations on high-risk supplier arrangements and complex outsourcing.
• Provide practical legal advice on liability, IP, data protection, security and regulatory issues.
• Develop guidance on AI governance, vendor diligence and contract templates.
• Supervise and coach Contract Managers and junior lawyers as needed.
• Partner with Sourcing, IT and Compliance to align contracts with governance requirements.
