Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering safety-focused design across transport infrastructure projects. The role involves collaborating with internal disciplines, project managers and clients to ensure procedural compliance and robust safety assessments throughout the design lifecycle.

Applicants should have a degree in engineering, experience in design engineering, and familiarity with safety regulations and risk assessment processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction principles and standards relevant to own discipline.
• Experience of working as a design engineer under supervision with responsibilities for deliverables within a work package / project.
• Production of quality deliverables in line with relevant standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed design for multi or single disciplinary projects as required.
• Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery.
• Report updates to senior Engineers, technical leads and the project management team on project progress.
• Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff and others affected by the th be operations of SYSTRA throughout design lifecycle.
• Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement.
• Continue your own professional development with support from SYSTRA in line with your professional body.
• Any other duties as required.
