Job summary

SYSTRA in the UK is seeking a Principal System Safety Engineer to lead delivery of system safety, interoperability compliance and regulatory assurance for Old Oak Common Station. You will work with HS2, Network Rail and regulators to ensure design and construction meet CSM-RA and Interoperability standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects across life-cycle stages.
• Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Applied understanding of CSM-RA and Railway Interoperability Regulations in large multi-disciplinary environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as ORR.
• Experience in facilitating system safety activities including HazID/HazOp.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of system safety and interoperability compliance for a major station project.
• Strategise, plan and manage complex safety challenges across phased entry into service.
• Coordinate with HS2, Network Rail, clients and regulators to demonstrate compliance.
• Produce safety deliverables including System Safety Plans, Hazard Records and safety justifications.
• Lead hazard reviews and safety training packages.
• Manage the System Safety and Interoperability Team and project hazard records.
