Job summary

ULTRA ELECTRONICS is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to manage concurrent engineering efforts, ensuring delivery to scope, cost and schedule. You will lead multi-discipline teams, drive systems engineering lifecycles, and align with ISO processes across UK defence programs.

You will oversee resource planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement while supporting business governance and external engagements, including travel within the UK.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Systems Engineering lifecycle, V and multiple development models (Iterative, Incremental).
• Proven engineering management, technical leadership and mentoring skills overseeing a multi-discipline team (min 10).
• Experience in strategy, planning and design of complex solutions, standalone or integrated.
• Ability to quantify Basis of Estimate costs for pursuits and changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering activities and the team, aligned to ISO 15288 and ISO 24748 processes.
• Own, lead and assure the execution of agreed engineering scope for diverse projects.
• Coordinate engineering resources and day-to-day tasking across the project.
• Ensure delivery of all life cycle products within budget and schedule, reporting to governance.
